ABOUT
ME
The beginning...
My true passion for football started 12 years ago - witnessing Italy win the World Cup in 2006 and lift the trophy for the fourth time. It was one of the greatest moments of my childhood. Being a 10-year-old at the time, the 2006 FIFA World Cup is when I truly grew a passion for the Beautiful Game. Not only was it the 2006 Azzurri team that connected me with the sport, it was also the brilliant journalistic work from SBS presenter Les Murray who made the experience quite colourful.
My ultimate dream as a child was to someday become a professional footballer, hoping that I could travel the world and entertain millions of fans. After realising I wasn't cut out to be a pro footballer, I still wanted to pursue a career revolving around football. Before completing my final year at High School, I quickly applied for early entry into university. I chose a sports journalism degree as I found out that this could open the doors for football journalism.
I am now in my third year at Charles Sturt University, studying a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) degree. During my studies, I freelance as a football writer for various football publications. I also regularly blog for Football Italia - the largest Italian football website in the English language.
My main objective is to become a respectable and renown football journalist in both the writing and broadcast platforms. Born in Australia and deriving from an Italian-Sicilian family, one of my other ambitions is to expose more Italian and European football coverage down under.
